FEIM en el W7 Japón
Mabel Bianco, presidenta de FEIM, participó del traspaso de la presidencia alemana del w7 a la de Japon . W7 es el grupo de compromiso oficial del G7 de la sociedad civil feminista que promueve la igualdad de género y los derechos de las mujeres.
El evento que se realizó en Tokyo tuvo como objetivo continuar con la participación de expertas/os del norte y del sur en el W7 y así promover y poner de relieve las cuestiones críticas de la igualdad de género que W7 debe proponer a los lideres del G7.
La visita al país oriental contó con varias actividades. El jueves se realizó un almuerzo en la embajada de Alemania y por la noche hubo una cena de trabajo con las embajadas del G7, junto con W7 Japón, W7 Alemania y representantes de embajadas del G7.
Al día siguiente los asistentes compartieron un almuerzo con miembros de los equipos del W7 y Alemania y asesores del W7; y más tarde se realizó el acto público de traspaso.
El traspaso se efectuó en el Instituto Goethe de Tokyo. Al evento asistieron las autoridades del Ministerio de Familia Mujeres y Niñez de Japón, Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores, el representante de la Unión Europea y representantes de embajadas de los paises del G7.
Sobre Women7
«Mujeres 7» (W7), es un grupo de organizaciones de la sociedad civil que tiene como objetivo reflejar las propuestas de políticas sobre igualdad de género y derechos de las mujeres en las discusiones y propuestas a los líderes del G7,cuya cumbre en 2023 se llevará a cabo en Hiroshima en mayo.
Los cinco temas claves sobre las que se basa el W7en 2023 son:
1-Capacitación, participación significativa y liderazgo de las mujeres.
2-Justicia económica y estrategia de cuidados.
3- Autonomía corporal y autodeterminación: Violencia de Género (VG), Salud y Derechos. Salud Sexual y Reproductiva (SDSR) y Orientación Sexual e Identidad de Género.
4-Política exterior feminista para la sostenibilidad y la justicia: Respuestas a múltiples crisis de género, y Mujeres, Paz y Seguridad.
5- Rendición de cuentas y financiación para la igualdad de género
Mabel Bianco, president of FEIM, participate in the handover of the German presidency of the W7 to Japan. W7 is the official G7 engagement group of feminist civil society that promotes gender equality and women’s rights.
The event in Tokyo aimed to continue the participation of experts from the North and South in the W7 and to promote and highlight the critical gender equality issues that W7 should propose to the G7 leaders.
The visit to the eastern country included several activities. On Thursday a lunch was held at the German embassy and in the evening there was a working dinner with the G7 embassies, along with W7 Japan, W7 Germany and representatives of G7 embassies.
The following day the attendees shared a lunch with members of the W7 and German teams and W7 advisors; and later the public handover ceremony took place.
The handover took place at the Goethe Institute in Tokyo. The event was attended by the authorities of the Ministry of Family, Women and Children of Japan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the representative of the European Union and representatives of the embassies of the G7 countries.
About Women7
«Women 7 (W7) is a group of civil society organizations that aims to reflect policy proposals on gender equality and women’s rights in discussions and proposals to the G7 leaders, whose 2023 summit will be held in Hiroshima in May.
The five key themes that the W7 is based on in 2023 are:
1- Women’s empowerment, meaningful participation, and leadership.
2- Economic justice and care strategy.
3- Bodily autonomy and self-determination: Gender-based Violence (GBV), Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), and Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI).
4- Feminist foreign policy for sustainability and justice: Responding to multiple gender crises, and Women, Peace, and Security.
5- Accountability and financing for gender equality.
