2024: primera etapa de incidencia feminista con el proyecto Women Power 2030 en América Latina
Hacia el final de 2024 concluye un año de importantes logros en el marco del proyecto global Women Power 2030 (WP2030), implementado en Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Guatemala y Perú. Bajo el liderazgo de la Fundación para Estudio e Investigación de la Mujer (FEIM) y con financiamiento de la Unión Europea, esta iniciativa tiene como objetivo acelerar la acción hacia la igualdad de género y el desarrollo sostenible, promoviendo la participación activa de mujeres jóvenes en toda su diversidad.
Un grupo de 35 mujeres jóvenes, de entre 17 y 35 años, fue seleccionado para participar del proyecto. En la conformación de este grupo de activistas se ve representada la diversidad de las mujeres de la región, incluyendo las que viven con discapacidad, las LGBTIQ+, de las comunidades afro e indígenas, rurales y urbanas, entre otras.
Algunas de las acciones destacadas este año fueron:
Ciclo de formación en incidencia política feminista
Una de las acciones centrales del proyecto fue la capacitación teórica-práctica en incidencia política feminista. En el contexto de los preparativos para celebrar el 30° aniversario de la Declaración y la Plataforma de Acción de Beijing, este ciclo de formación brindó a las jóvenes herramientas conceptuales y prácticas para incidir en debates internacionales y regionales, promoviendo la agenda para la igualdad y los derechos humanos.
El ciclo se desarrolló a través de encuentros virtuales, actividades prácticas grupales, las exposiciones de Mabel Bianco y Cecilia Correa, de FEIM, y un conversatorio con las invitadas especiales Luisa Kislinger, de UN Foundation, y Eugenia López Uribe, de IPPF LAC.
Durante la capacitación, las jóvenes pudieron aprender el funcionamiento del sistema de Naciones Unidas, reconocer la relevancia de la Plataforma de Acción de Beijing y analizar documentos clave oficiales y de la sociedad civil. Como trabajo de cierre, elaboraron en grupos un documento de incidencia por país, en el que resaltan las experiencias y puntos de vista de las mujeres jóvenes en toda su diversidad de ese territorio.
Campaña #VocesFeministasHOY
La campaña de comunicación desarrollada en el marco del proyecto buscó posicionar las voces y perspectivas de mujeres jóvenes y fortalecer una narrativa feminista actualizada y en tono de esperanza. La campaña propuso celebrar la Plataforma de Acción de Beijing y sumar las miradas de las jóvenes, quienes fueron protagonistas de los mensajes.
Participación en espacios de incidencia internacional: CEPAL 2024
Uno de los hitos más relevantes del proyecto fue la participación de seis jóvenes en las actividades organizadas en la Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe (CEPAL), del 3 al 5 de diciembre en Chile. El grupo juvenil desempeñó un rol protagónico en el Foro de ONG Feministas y de Mujeres y en la 66ª Reunión de la Mesa Directiva de la Conferencia Regional sobre la Mujer de América Latina y el Caribe.
La experiencia les permitió poner en práctica lo aprendido en las capacitaciones, fortalecer sus voces en un escenario y establecer vínculos con representantes del movimiento de mujeres y feministas, agentes de ONU y otros actores clave.
Nuevos desafíos para 2025
Al cierre de esta primera etapa, el proyecto Women Power 2030 logró incidir para seguir avanzando hacia una sociedad más igualitaria y sostenible. Sin embargo, los desafíos persisten y por ello el proyecto continuará en 2025 fortaleciendo redes intergeneracionales e interseccionales que amplifiquen las voces de las mujeres jóvenes en todos los espacios de decisión.

Marina – Argentina: “El proyecto Women Power me brindó herramientas para comprender el contexto regional y global, además de fortalecer mi capacidad para dialogar con representantes internacionales. También nos ayudó a pensar estratégicamente cómo visibilizar las voces jóvenes en debates donde muchas veces no se nos incluye”.
Sol – Argentina: “El proyecto Women Power me hizo tomar conciencia de cómo se puede trabajar la coordinación y la incidencia, que luego pudimos llevar a la práctica. Considero un antes y un después en mi formación y activismo haber participado en los eventos de CEPAL”.
Adriana – Bolivia: “Me aportó claridad y seguridad para poder participar de un espacio tan importante como la CEPAL, nos preparó para escenarios de mucho aprendizaje, pero también para el conflicto y el desencuentro”.

2024: first stage of feminist advocacy with the project Women Power 2030 in Latin America
The end of 2024 marks the end of a year of important achievements in the framework of the global project Women Power 2030 (WP2030), implemented in Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Guatemala and Peru. Under the leadership of the Foundation for Study and Research on Women (FEIM) and with funding from the European Union, this initiative aims to accelerate action towards gender equality and sustainable development by promoting the active participation of young women in all their diversity.
A group of 35 young women, between the ages of 17 and 35, was selected to participate in the project. This group of activists represents the diversity of women in the region, including those living with disabilities, LGBTIQ+, from Afro and Indigenous communities, rural and urban, among others.
Some of the outstanding actions this year were:
Training cycle in feminist political advocacy
One of the central actions of the project was the theoretical and practical training in feminist political advocacy. In the context of the preparations to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, this training cycle provided young women with conceptual and practical tools to influence international and regional debates, promoting the agenda for equality and human rights.
The cycle was developed through virtual meetings, interactive group activities, presentations by Mabel Bianco and Cecilia Correa, from FEIM, and a discussion with special guests Luisa Kislinger, from the UN Foundation, and Eugenia López Uribe, from IPPF LAC.
During the training, the young women were able to learn how the United Nations system works, recognize the relevance of the Beijing Platform for Action and analyze key official and civil society documents. As closing work, they prepared in groups an advocacy document by country, highlighting the experiences and points of view of young women in all their diversity in that territory.
Campaign #VocesFeministasHOY (Feminist Voices Today)
The communication campaign developed within the framework of the project was aimed at positioning the voices and perspectives of young women and strengthening an updated feminist narrative in a tone of hope. The campaign proposed to celebrate the Beijing Platform for Action and to add the views of young women, who were the protagonists of the messages.
Participation in international advocacy spaces: ECLAC 2024
One of the most important achievements of the project was the participation of six young women in the activities organized at the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), from December 3 to 5 in Chile. The youth group played a leading role in the Forum of Feminist and Women´s NGOs and in the 66th Meeting of the Presiding Officers of the Regional Conference on Women in Latin America and the Caribbean
The experience allowed them to put into practice what they learned in the training, strengthen their voices on stage and establish links with representatives of the women and feminist movement, UN agents and other key actors.
New challenges for 2025
At the end of this first stage, the Women Power 2030 project was able to make an impact to continue advancing towards a more egalitarian and sustainable society. However, challenges remain and the project will continue in 2025 to strengthen intergenerational and intersectional networks that amplify the voices of young women in all decision-making spaces.

Daniela – Perú: “The training cycle gave me key tools to understand how the meetings would be developed and how to generate effective advocacy, such as what we achieved with the manifesto we created from the young women´s perspective.”
