Facing Beijing +25, Mexico installs the Civil Society Advisory Group that promotes the organization of the Forum Generation Equality in Mexico

The Steering Group of the National Forum appointed a fifteen-person Civil Society Advisory Group to organize the Generation Equality Forum in Mexico.

The Steering Group of the National Forum will be composed of 15 people.

The Generation Equality Forum is an intersectoral process for gender equality, convened by UN Women and co-chaired by France and Mexico, with the leadership of the feminist
civil society. The Forum will be held in Mexico on May 7th and 8th, 2020 at the Centro Cultural Universitario Tlatelolco, site of the First International Women's Conference in
1975. It will culminate in Paris, France, from July 7th to July 10th, 2020.

The Steering Group of the National Forum will be composed of 15 people with specialized knowledge and broad experience in the area of gender equality and women's human
rights, and its main objective will be to advise both the Organizing Steering Group and the National Secretariat on the substantive definition of the launch of the Generation Equality
Forum in our country.

The Group will also make contributions on the issues that will be addressed at the launch of the Equality Generation Forum. After reviewing the applications submitted, the Steering Group decided that the Civil Society Advisory Group would be made up of the following people:

The selected persons have been notified individually by e-mail. The Mexican Civil Society Advisory Group will have among its mandates to propose the participation of women's and feminist groups in the Generation Equality Forum in Mexico, as well as to promote the linkage between national and global civil society. The Civil Society Advisory Group will hold its first meeting in the upcoming weeks accompanied by the Forum Steering Group.
